Hallberg-Rassy 69
The Swedish shipyard’s new flagship
Hallberg Rassy comes to the world of large boats, never before has the shipyard produced such a long model. The Hallberg Rassy 69 will be the new flagship of the range, and in all likelihood when it hits the water it will be a boat that will not go unnoticed.
EXTERIOR
The design, again by Germán Frers, is that right mix of rationality, elegance and robustness that has made the Nordic brand’s fortune, making ita “cult” in the blue water luxury cruising boat segment. This is what Hallberg-Rassy 69 wants to be, a boat that takes its owners around the world, making them feel like they are in a luxury home, a home that also sails well, however.
The deck is clean and completely flush at the bow of the mast, the deckhouse in fact is short and stops at the stern. The long cockpit is equipped with two L-shaped sofas and a large, solid, mirror-painted wooden table. There is an optional cockpit refrigerator. The maneuvering stations, and generally the entire cockpit, are protected by the typical Hallberg-Rassy windshield or hardtop.
As an option there is a hydraulic forestay cutter and even a hydraulic Code Zero or furling Gennaker furler, actuated by pressing buttons from the cockpit. The washboard is elegantly and easily stored in a hidden recess. The cockpit is very well protected by the typical Hallberg-Rassy wind screen or hard top.
INTERIOR
Single level without steps
Inside, the shipyard is keen to point out a difference from some of its blue water competitors: there is a single level, with no steps, from bow to stern, which is important for moving freely, whether sailing or at anchor or in port. The amount of natural light is unusual, thanks to the hull’s eight portholes. You sit in the salon and look out through the hull’s large portholes. Interior design options allow for a master cabin, a sailor cabin and two guests.
