BFBM hydraulic or electric motorization for furling boom

BFBM hydraulic or electric motorization for furling boom. These hydraulic or electric furling boom drives available for boats with indicative boom lengths from 6 to 25 meters.

The system consists of a gear motor, an electric or hydraulic motor and brake(to lock the system during reefing), all integrated and protected in a cylindrical structure designed to be housed inside the mainsail furling “mandrel.”

Where the boom supplier provides a manual locking mechanism (part of the boom construction) the electromagnetic brake is not required. The outer flange of the motorization is made of polished stainless steel and has slots for tying the mainsail tack point.

The standard motorization A is complemented by the simple boom joint B, or, alternatively, the special boom joint C, which integrates the manual emergency engagement (Note: both joints are optional items and must be requested when ordering).

A D drilling jig for mandrel is available upon request.

Due to its compactness, light weight, ease of installation and positioningforward of the boom, this motorization is a unique solution. Moreover, among the systems on the market, the Bamar furler is the one that allows the minimum distance between the aft face of the mast and the sail tack. This facilitates the maneuvering of opening and closing the sail.

Sizes 140, 182, 280 and 360 can be made in the hydraulic version.
