Many years of daysailer design and more recent developments have shaped the new a27. Michael Gilhofer 20 years ago revolutionized the sailboat market with his idea of a true pure daysailer. The experience of more than 30 daysailer owners was taken into account in developing the a27 and shaping this yacht. Lorenzo Argento’s ingenious YD project was unveiled at Boot Düsselfdorf 2019 and has seen several evolutions over the following years.
The a27 is available in three layouts:
-
Pure – for sailing purists. Less is more
The “Pure” model takes the a27 back to basics: simple handling, few systems, and barely visible trim. Sailing in its purest form!
-
Solar – for complete independence. Charged batteries, anytime, anywhere!
The “Solar” model makes total independence from the power grid possible. Walkable solar panels, fully integrated into the foredeck, allow permanent charging of engine and power batteries, thus providing power even without docking in ports.
-
Performant – for the sailor who seeks performance. Fast and luxurious!
The “Performante” model, with its carbon mast and bowsprit and additional, hidden but easy-to-use trim devices, is the ideal yacht for winning gold or going for silver (“Silver”) in weekend regattas. In the most spacious and comfortable cockpit in its class, the crew can relax and enjoy the sunset on the water.
