Among the most innovative and successful products recently launched by Seldén on the market are the CXe25 and CXe45 electric winders. Equipped with a 42V brushless internal motor, the CXe use Seldén’s SEL-Bus system and a power supply unit (PSU) that converts 12V or 24V to 42V. Initially designed for use with a codeO, now thanks to the possibility of combining them with the Seldén “free-tack,” they also allow a gennaker to be furled really quickly.
INNOVATIVE SYSTEMS THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE AT SEA
The CXe in the TD version can be integrated at the bow or bowsprit with a through-deck installation. This permanent installation is always ready for furling sail connection. A stainless steel protection cage is optionally available for this version to prevent anchor damage.
The CXe can be used with the Seldén free-tack to furl a furling gennaker. The sail is permanently connected to a dedicated anti-twist line, with the free-tack at the bottom and the halyard swivel at the top. The free-tack is mounted on the motor unit of the CXe and the swivel is hoisted with the gennaker halyard.
Installation of the CXe in the OD version does not require modification of the deck or bowsprit.
Simply attach it to a pad-eye and connect the electric cable on deck or in the anchor locker./ maximum working loads are 2500 kg for the CXe25 and 4500 kg for the CXe45, for both OD and TD versions.
