Cala del Forte, a new marina in Ventimiglia, owned by Monaco Ports, was built with total respect for the environment to be able to accommodate 178 boats from 6.5 to 70 meters in length in total safety. It has 24-hour guarded access, 70 CCTV surveillance cameras, 577 parking spaces, 15,000 square meters of promenades and gardens, numerous stores available to tourists (including restaurants, bars and services). The shipyard (as large as 2,700 square meters) has capacity for hauling and launching yachts up to 30 meters. A limited number of berths among those in Cala del Forte are available under a 40-year concession.
The port
Cala del Forte offers five-star hospitality in keeping with the surrounding landscape, with many businesses that are active year-round, including four gourmet restaurants, an ice cream bar, the boatyard, brokerage agencies and nautical services, two charging stations for electric cars and two for electric boats. Among the most exclusive services Cala del Forte offers shipowners is a 24-hour reception and, most importantly, the Monaco One, a motor catamaran that connects Cala del Forte by sea with the Ports of Monaco in just 15 minutes and with 11 seats available (the two locations are only 7.9 nautical miles apart). Also popular with boaters are the Technogym gym, located on the central pier, and the elevator that connects the port to Upper Ventimiglia in just 40 seconds. Cala del Forte is thus today one of the most advanced, best equipped and safest ports in the Mediterranean and also holds the title of the longest concession in the Mediterranean, with a duration until 2094.
