Innovative technology for global boating
Since 1977, BAMAR has been creating both solutions for 8-meter boats and automations for 150-meter superyachts
Born 46 years ago from the small “artisan workshop” of the Zattini Family in Romagna, BAMAR today represents a well-known and appreciated reality of the boating world. Innovation is its hallmark, being a leader in the management of shipboard rigging: furling systems for sails, hydraulic and electrical systems, and accessories.
With their innovative technology, care for design and versatility, BAMAR products also find application in cutting-edge architectural creations, as well as aboard the world’s most prestigious vessels. In fact, BAMAR today manufactures from small manual furlers to equipment for the largest sailing yacht that is at sea.
BAMAR’s growth continued in 2015 when the company was acquired by Soluzioni Meccaniche, which continued the development of the brand. Mechanical Solutions engineering develops high-tech CAD designs and experiments with new materials and solutions to improve navigation. Together with the endurance study thus decreases the weights and provides an additional guarantee of performance. Thus were born BAMAR winders and systems that are installed as original equipment on boats manufactured by leading Italian and international shipyards. BAMAR’s validity is evidenced by international awards and sea tests on racing boats that become severe test beds. Finally, BAMAR holds the International Patent ROLLGEN, the revolutionary system for furling non-inferred sails.
UNIQUE SOLUTIONS THAT CHANGE THE HISTORY OF BOATING
RLG-EVO
The range of “whip” drums and heads, made of Ergal alloy with “from solid” machining and thick anodizing and special steels, is characterized by high strength and smoothness. These winders, tested for years on ocean race courses, offer excellent performance and durability. Combined with the special ROLLGEN forestay, it is possible to make a normal gennaker furling.
FT FURLER
It is the new range of furling characterized by the low wall attachment.
Rolling is on free Torlon balls, and all components are made “from solid.” The proven range of BAMAR roller shutter profiles can be used in combination. Maximum ease of operation, light weight, small size, and low maintenance are its hallmarks.
EVANG
BAMAR presents E-Vang, the world’s first electronic vang, just unveiled at Mets Trade in Amsterdam. E-Vang is a breakthrough innovation, a patented product destined to change the way these maneuvers are handled, which until now have been forced to use complex hydraulic systems to move the vang: it is the latest building block for the total elimination of on-board hydraulics in favor of electrically powered objects. Already available in the BAMAR range are jib furlers, boom furlers and electric pad eyes. E-Vang’s electric motor is combined with a planetary gearbox to achieve maximum efficiency with minimum absorption. E-Vang can have a suitable position sensor to have the best angle memorized for pairing with a boom with furling mainsail.
