Arrival time for the Class 40s of the Transat Café l’Or in Martinique, and once again there is good news for Italian sailing. Pietro Luciani, co-skipper of Les Invincibles with William Mathelin finished in third position after a race of absolute level always in the leading group. The victory went to Guillame Pirouelle’s Seafrigo after a battle to the last mile against Corentin Doguet’s SNSM.

Les Invincibles was among the boats that chose the southern option, which ultimately proved to be perhaps the most effective overall, as the northern group, apart from SNSM, lagged behind. An excellent result for Italian industry as well, since Les Invincibles is a Musa 40, a Guelfi D’Angeli design, built by Sangiorgio Marine of Genoa and equipped with deck gear from the Padua-based company Antal.
Coming into the sprint is another group of boats, with Luca Rosetti’s Maccaferri Futura, co-skipper Matteo Sericano, and Ekinox, co-skipper Alberto Riva, closing in the top 10. In the top 20, however, is Andrea Fornaro with Influence 2. Overall, considering the second and fourth place of Francesca Clapcich and Ambrogio Beccaria among the Imoca 60s, this is one of the most successful ocean campaigns in the history of Italian sailing.
And in this regard we invite you already today, at 5 p.m. live on our YouTube channel with Francesca Clapcich (link to the live stream below)
