The Marinedi group, a leader in the Mediterranean marina sector, has been awarded the management of a new dock in the port of Cagliari. With the project, which includes 300 berths and a complete redevelopment of the Su Siccu – Molo Sant’Elmo area, MarineDi’s signature marina network strengthens its presence in Sardinia.
The Marinedi group, a European leader in the management of marinas dedicated to nautical tourism, has won the tender for the management of a dock in the port of Cagliari, specifically in the area of Su Siccu – Molo Sant’Elmo. This is an ambitious project involving the construction of about 300 new berths, intended for boats of different sizes. The project comes to replace a previous concession that has now expired and is part of an overall revitalization plan for the city’s waterfront.
Redevelopment and boating services
“The new dock will undergo a profound redevelopment that will completely transform the area,” explains the group’s CEO, Renato Marconi. “The current shipyards present will be moved to the vicinity of the industrial port, making way for a modern and functional marina. The infrastructure will offer not only state-of-the-art nautical services, but also gathering spaces on land, including a restaurant and areas dedicated to leisure, in a strategic and central location that will affect even more of the city’s waterfront nightlife.”
A strategic “bridge” between Villasimius and Teulada
“With this new management we strengthen its presence in southern Sardinia,” Marconi continued, “creating a natural axis between the marinas of Villasimius and Porto Teulada, where the group already manages a total of about 1,200 berths. After all, many of our clients who frequent those coasts in the summer during the winter season want to stay close to home, that is, in Cagliari. Our goal is to offer boaters an integrated network of berths that allows them to sail along the southern coast of the island with the guarantee of uniform standards of quality and safety.
Growth and positive results in 2025 for the group
The year 2025 closes with growing results for Marinedi: the group’s entire network of marinas registered an increase of between 5 and 15 percent over the previous year. This is a sign that confirms the solidity of the brand and the validity of the “one brand, one standard” strategy, based on homogeneous services, transparent fees, and a qualified staff at each marina.
Also in 2025, the group consolidated its network with the acquisition of a majority stake in Marina di Brindisi and the strengthening of Marina di Chiavari, two operations that confirm its desire for growth under the banner of continuity and quality. Now with the Su Siccu – Molo Sant’Elmo project, Cagliari fully enters the MarineDi network, becoming a reference point for those sailing in the Western Mediterranean. The new marina will offer comfort, safety and high-level services, helping to enhance the city as a leading nautical and cultural destination.
