Veneziani Yachting renews its commitment to support high-level youth sailing with a partnership with the PoliMi Sailing Team, the team of students from the Milan Polytechnic University that designs and builds the boats with which it then participates in university competitions. This collaboration unites two entities that share fundamental values: research, innovation, attention to the environment and passion for the sea. And the Milanese team, which Veneziani Yachting will also support in the 2025-2026 season, has proven that it knows how to win, as this year (for the second time in a row) it won the SuMoth Challenge, an international competition that incentivizes the development of efficient and sustainable sailing boats.
Thanks to the contribution of Veneziani Yachting, the team was able to count on excellent performance paints and finishes, from Aderpox epoxy primer to Durepox, the result of the experience of the Boero Group brand, a leader in the formulation of specific products for protection and performance at sea. Technical and design solutions that played a key role in the team’s success, directly contributing to the victory of the boat “Altea” at the SuMoth Challenge 2025, won for the second consecutive year.

The event, among the world’s most prestigious university competitions, awards prizes to the best environmentally sustainable foil boat designs, in which every construction detail meets strict criteria for efficiency and environmental friendliness. In the competition, not only performance at sea is rewarded; rather, a very important part of the score is given to the design and construction of the boat. Veneziani has renewed its support for the team, which includes young engineers, designers and sailors, for the 2025-2026 campaign, demonstrating closeness to the sailing of the future and this special laboratory, where ideas, solutions and materials are born that may change the way boating is conceived. An approach perfectly in line with the brand’s commitment to responsible innovation and the development of eco-friendly products capable of meeting the needs of new generations of sailors. For its part, the PoliMi Sailing Team is already at work on the upcoming 2025/26 season, driven by the enthusiasm of a double victory that confirms the value of the project.
