DolceVela 48
The DolceVela 48 is the first boat that embodies the “DolceVela” philosophy: no mainsail, double retractable outboard motor, wood and linen construction, easy sailing

There is a new way of going to sea. It is called DolceVela and it embodies the philosophy gained through decades of experience and innovation by Alessandro Vismara, one of the most “out of the box” and appreciated designers in Italy and abroad, who now heads the AV Yachting brand. The goal? Inaugurating a new model of use: simpler, gentler, more conscious, more “eco.”

DolceVela, the three key points

DolceVela is not a boat (or rather, not only) but a concept.

The preliminary sail plan on the 42′

A concept that in some ways is revolutionary and that we have already explored when we boarded the DolceVela 48: What’s new about the “DolceVela boat”? We summarize them as follows:

  • A sail plan without a mainsail
  • Two retractable motors
  • A flowing layout with cockpit and dinette on the same level, 360-degree visibility, walkaround center bed, and free and livable deck, like a living room by the sea.
The engines on the 48 are two 40/60 hp Suzuki retractable outboards. When sailing, they can be raised and the holes can be closed with wooden panels.

The DolceVela range

In addition to the 48-footer (14.85 x 4.40 m) already mentioned, DolceVela is divided into two other “concept boats” that are custom-designed, built with craftsmanship and cutting-edge technology.

The DolceVela 34 (10.00 x 3.40 m) and the 42 (12.60 x 3.96 m) which share the key points of the DolceVela philosophy listed above and also share the imprint of easy sailing, the real thing. In fact, only one person is needed to steer these boats.

Without a mainsail, only with a furling genoa and foresail, you sail easily in all conditions. And when the wind is lacking, two quiet outboard motors take you far without noise or excessive consumption.

Wood and linen construction

Another novelty, or rather, a conscious reference to the past declined in a modern key, is the construction.

The boats are made from natural wood, organic resins and flax fibers, with no molds or waste. An advanced and sustainable production system gives the boat silence, insulation and a long life. This boat is a companion that respects the sea.

DolceVela, the fruit of great experience

The result of the experience of shipowners, designers and craftsmen, the boat is a collaboration between AV Yachting, RiNautica shipyard, shipowner Angelo Bruni, consultant Alessandro Degl’Innocenti and designer Otto Villani.
