Do dream boats still exist? We asked ourselves this question, the answer to which may ultimately be, at least in part, subjective. We believe yes, they still exist, although each sailor and owner obviously has his or her own idea of a dream boat.
There are some boats, however, that almost transcend subjectivity, and it is those that we think of, where the lines stand the test of time and fashion, where the carpentry stems from the wisdom of shipwrights in choosing the best logs to work with. Boats like the Hallberg Rassy, synonymous with timeless quality, and boats truly made to sail all the seas of the world, and not just designed to be comfortable.
We shot this video during the Cannes Boat Show aboard the Hallberg Rassy 57, together with a friend from Il Giornale della Vela who is also one of the top Hallberg Rassy experts in Italy, Jonathan Leoni. We talked about why the 57 has become a best seller, but we did not want to simply tell about this model, but rather to try to explain why a Hallberg, in our opinion and in the opinion of so many enthusiasts, are dream boats, icons capable of spanning the decades without losing an iota of their charm.
The answer is in a Hallberg Rassy
