The seventh stage of the Giro d’Italia a Vela 2025 Sailing Tour ended in Cagliari in fantastic weather conditions that characterized both the offshore and inshore races. Now it’s off to La Maddalena and then the fleet will prepare for the final “rush.”
The spectacle and the many emotions that only the Giro d’Italia a Vela can provide continues. For the offshore race, the Figaro 3 fleet left the waters of Sicily to land in Sardinia, in Cagliari, in an intense leg that was sailed on a linear course with no “gates.” It was a long ride for the crews in which those who expressed the best de facto speed could get to the front.
However, the fleet remained compact for almost the entire course, a sign that the technical level of this competition is very high and everyone always wants to give their best until the finish line. Near the port of Cagliari, the team “Circolo Nautico Sambenedettese” of Andrea Novelli and Leonardo Scarpetti who was leading the fleet in a splendid final “rush” managed to take advantage of the thermal breezes and take the win in real time. Behind him, spaced out by a few hours came respectively “Aeronautica Militare” with Niccolò Bertola and Giovanni Bannetta in second place and the German crew “Verein Seglerhaus am Wansee 1867 Berlin” of Michael Carrol and Micheà l O Suilleabhà in in third.

“Guard of Finance” dominates among WingFoil and Waszp.
After the offshore race, the inshore races in the port of Cagliari took place, starring the Waszp and WingFoil, which saw the dominance of the “Guardia di Finanza” team that won the stage victory in both classes (Mosé Bellomi, Waszp; Ernesto de Amicis, WingFoil).
In the end, the Figaro 3 ranking was redrawn, which, when added to the inshore ranking, delineated the podium of this Cagliari leg: the “Aeronautica Militare” team took first place, while the “Verein Seglerhaus Am Wannsee” team and the “Circolo Nautico Sanbenedettese” team came in second and third, respectively.
In short, this seventh leg of the Giro d’Italia a Vela, the highlight event of the Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour 2025 was distinguished by the very high technical level and gave many emotions, both to the public in attendance and to the athletes who raced in exceptional marine weather conditions. Today, July 6, the Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour will set course for La Maddalena for the eighth and penultimate leg of the circuit. A race that will prove crucial for the final standings in Genoa next July 11. We shall see!
