There was great participation in Porto Rotondo, an ideal location to host the fourth edition of the Sardinia Boat Show, a kermis that also aims to enhance the value of Made in Italy and raise international awareness of the Sardinian territory. This edition also reserved a remembrance of Prince Karim Aga Khan, founder of the Costa Smeralda and a vital figure in the international development of the island, including in the nautical sector, who recently left us.

Emerald coast nautical stage

From April 30 to May 4, the Marina di Porto Rotondo hosted the fourth edition of the Sardinia Nautical Fair, organized by CIPNES Gallura with the support of the Sardinia Region’s Department of Industry. The event recorded record numbers, confirming it as one of the most anticipated events on the Italian nautical calendar. Under the patronage of Confindustria Nautica and with the active participation of numerous entities, including the Municipality of Olbia, the Porto Rotondo Consortium, the Marina and the Yacht Club Porto Rotondo, the fair was attended by 163 companies and nearly 200 boats on display, including sail and motor boats.

Who participated

Among the protagonists were some of the industry’s most prestigious brands: Bluegame, Solaris, Jeanneau, Dufour, Beneteau, Lagoon and many others, joined by many local shipyards. Also important was the participation of operators specialized in technical assistance and logistics, brokers, agencies and shipyards active in Northeast Sardinia.

In addition to the exhibition, the fair proved to be a concrete commercial hub, with new boats being delivered to their owners, units being sold by local shipyards, and numerous weeks of charters-both sailing and large yachts-being confirmed moored in the central area of the harbor near the Sir Baden Powell sailing ship.

Sardinia Boat Show: an offering that goes beyond boating

The Boat Show was also a center of culture and innovation, thanks to the many thematic talks organized by CIPNES Gallura, which involved universities, designers, shipyards, researchers and the press. Special attention was given to sustainability: in the “Techno Green” area, exhibitors and research centers presented technologies to reduce environmental impact, from electric boats to smart buoys capable of monitoring the state of the water. The 4-day program included many side events, including performances and food and wine presentations curated by Insula, a regional project for the enhancement of Sardinian agricultural and food excellence. The success of the fourth edition already casts an eye to the future: the Region of Sardinia and organizers are working on the 2026 edition, which promises to raise the bar even higher in terms of quality and innovation.
