First 20 – 6.40 m
Let’s start with the most modern. This 2017 Beneteau First 20 Performance (6.4 m x 2.48 m) is really interesting. It is the evolution of a great sailing classic, updated with modern solutions for better performance and more comfort. Derived from the legendary First 210, which over the years has evolved into the First 211, First 21.7 and First 21.7s, this model retains the sporty DNA of the First series, while enhancing it with a more powerful and well-balanced sail plan, greater ease of handling and optimized deck details.
The First 20 adopts a diamond rigging without a backstay, which makes the mast self-supporting and allows the installation of a square top mainsail with an increased area of 15.84 m². The boat also has a fixed polyester bowsprit as standard, which facilitates the use of performance headsails.
The unit for sale, which can be seen in Porto Santo Stefano, is equipped with a complete sail set: mainsail, genoa, Olympic jib, code zero on mainsail and gennaker with stocking. Onboard instrumentation includes Raymarine wind station, log and depth gauge, as well as autopilot. Also on board are a solar panel, 220V dockside outlet and an outside shower. Also included in the at is a Selva Oyster outboard motor.
New Ranger – 9 m
The second boat featured in our market is a Classic Boat registered in the ASDEC historical registry. It is a 1976 New Ranger (9 m x 2.84 m) , a remake of a signature design, combining classic lines, long keel and generous volumes to ensure excellent marine qualities and stable sailing. This version, offered by the Roman shipyard Makò Sailers in the 1970s, takes Philip Rhodes’ famous 1959 Ranger design and updates it with modern materials and construction solutions. With lead ballast encapsulated in the fiberglass and a hinged rudder on the stern, it is a boat designed for cruising, solid and reliable, giving its best in a stiff breeze.
The long, narrow cockpit is equipped with a helm wheel, while the interior, with its basic layout, includes a port bathroom, galley to starboard with a chart table function, and a double cabin forward. This unit has been totally renovated by the current owner and is equipped with a new Nanni 30HP engine with only 30 hours on her.
Cecco 8 – 7.92 m
Today’s third boat is an 8-meter cabin cruiser from 1986. Designed by Enrico Contreas for the Mattia & Cecco yard, this Cecco 8 (7.92 m x 2.5 m) is a light, fast boat ideal for medium-range sailing. Its sharp lines, contained maximum beam and reduced wetted area make it a boat with excellent upwind performance, even in light winds.
The interior, while affected by its small volume, offers good livability with a “V”-shaped forward cabin, a saloon with two sofas convertible into bunks, a bathroom, galley and chart table. In total she sleeps five, perfect for cruising. This hull is in very good condition, equipped with Honda 4-stroke 10hp outboard engine with three-blade propeller.
Duilla 30 – 9.06 m
The next boat in the ad market is a half-tonner designed for fast cruising, with a perfect balance of performance and comfort. This Dullia 30 (9.06 m x 3.12 m), designed by Ettore Santarelli, was built in 1985 and fully refurbished in 2019 and today is in excellent condition, ready to sail.
The solid, well-balanced hull ensures safe and comfortable sailing in a variety of wind conditions. The sails, mainsail and genoa, were replaced in 2019, while the engine, new in 2022, has only 290 hours of use. The electrical system has been renovated with the addition of USB outlets and a photovoltaic system, making the boat more autonomous. The deck is well organized, with a spacious and functional cockpit with a shower installed in 2022.
The interior has been completely revised from the original, with a more modern and brighter design. The wood has been repainted white, giving the rooms a contemporary feel and more natural light. The layout is comfortable and functional, with a fully equipped galley, a large convertible dinette, a separate bathroom, and a forward cabin with a V berth. The cushions, renewed in 2019, are in excellent condition.
The antifouling was just redone in October 2024, and various maintenance work ensures that the boat is ready to sail without the need for further work. The Dullia 30 is perfect for those looking for a solid, fast and comfortable boat that is ready to go.
For Elisa – 7.75 m
We close with a treat, a racing prototype designed by Massimo Paperini. For Elisa is a unique 1/4 Tonner IOR (7.75 m x 2.20 m) built in 1990 by Cantiere Latini. Made entirely of carbon sandwich and Nomex, with titanium hardware and full Harken rigging, she is a lightweight, high-performance racing boat.
He participated in several editions of the Quarter Ton Cup, achieving excellent results. In 1990, in Bayona, Spain, he finished eighth out of thirty-eight participants, with Mario Celon at the helm. The following year, in Thessaloniki, Greece, he finished ninth out of twenty. In 1992, in Chioggia, he finished the competition in fifteenth place out of twenty-seven boats.
Over the years she has changed name and owners several times, becoming Shantaram before returning, in 2022, to her original name with Dario Ansaloni as her new owner. In recent years she has undergone a major refit, with meticulous attention to detail. Every screw, nut, and washer has been replaced with AISI 316 steel, while all aluminum counter-plates have been replaced with new ones made of fiberglass. In October 2023 it returned to the water after a year of work. The boat is being sold with its wheeled vessel, 6-mile safety equipment and berth at the Marina di Cattolica paid until April, with renewal deposit already paid.
