In the memory and in the groove marked by the Aga Khan, founder and president of the Club, the presentation of the 2025 Calendar of the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda was held in Milan, which opened with the greeting of Commodore Andrea Recordati owner, always with the YCCS guidon, of the Wally 80′ Indio, then the Wally 101′ Indio Beta and since 2022 the Wally 93′ Bullitt with which he won the 44th edition of the Rolex Middle Sea Race.

In memory of the Aga Khan
Andrea Recordati introduced a video tribute dedicated to the Aga Khan in which black-and-white images and his account of how he discovered the northeast coast of Sardinia in 1962 kicked off the historical moments of the YCCS from the first Italian challenge to the America’s Cup with Azzurra to the adventure of the Destriero.

The YCCS Sports Calendar was then illustrated by the general secretary and sports director, Edoardo Recchi with the anticipation of the possible return in 2026 of the Sardina Cup against the reborn Admiral’s Cup. In closing, the athletes of the Young Azzurra program, Cesare Barabino, from the ILCA 7 Class, Federico Pilloni, iQFOiL Youth World Champion and Maddalena Spanu, Vice World Champion WingFoil Racing as well as reigning European and World Champion in Marathon WingFoil Racing, outlined their respective 2025 racing calendars.
