In the first installment dedicated to the world of dinghies we brought you the opinion of Francesca Clapcich, two Olympics behind her and two round-the-world races, one of which she won. Let us now instead cite a few examples from the diverse world of dinghies: we have chosen 6, five are pure dinghies (for sailors of various types), and one is a boat that we might consider to be somewhere between dinghies and the world of larger boats. All of them can be useful in improving our technique of running a sailboat
O’PEN SKIFF Very easy

A light, maneuverable and safe hull with a pronounced bow and wide stern, features devoted to fun and speed. A semi-planing dinghy for kids who dream of speeds greater than those attainable by the Optimist.
Data: 2.75 m long; 1.14 m wide.
Price: from 4,099 euros.

The ILCA, known by all by its old name Laser and can be used by anyone from the kid who weighs 35 kg to the senior over 100 kg by simply changing the sail. It is assembled in five minutes, carried on the roof of the car, and there are race tracks everywhere for every ability.
Data: 4.20 meters long, 1.39 meters wide.
Price: from 7,700 euros for a new boat.
The monotype for two

Gliding at more than 10 knots, with only two crew members, without stress and with great ease of handling, we could sum up Junda K II, the monotype designed by Studio Felci, based on a concept by entrepreneur and sailor Ludovico Fassitelli. It is not a true dinghy, because we could define it as a “micro” keel boat, but it has dimensions and ease of handling typical of dinghies.
Data: 5.80 m long, 2.30 m wide.
Price: from 49,500 euros.
Foil for everyone

The Waszp is a monotype, it is not carbon, and the appendages being subjected to monotype cannot be changed. For this reason it is less expensive than the Moth, though somewhat less performing.
Data: 3.35 m long, 2.25 m wide.
Price: from 12,000 euros.
RS TERA, for beginners and experts

Perfect for learning, but also for those looking for a sufficiently technical dinghy with a good international racing circuit. It does not have the numbers of the ILCA, but still a decent spread.
Data: 2.87 m long, 2.23 m wide.
Price: from 4,575 euros.
RS FEVA, adrenaline

Double with gennaker, capable of high-speed gliding, quite technical and suitable for the more athletic who also seek speed. Data: 3.64 m long, 1.42 wide.
Price: from 8,107 euros.
