5 used boats from 16 to 22 m

You will find classic-looking boats with long keels, wooden and fiberglass, cruising and sportier. But with one common denominator: they are dream boats, ready to take on any sea, in any condition. A safe used car: guarantees the Sailing Newspaper!

Carmen Serida – 22.97 m – Ketch Sciarrelli

The first of the used boats on display in our yard sale is a true signature boat. Launched in 1986 under the name Serida II, Carmen Serida (21.97 m x 5.20 m) is a splendid ketch built by the shipwrights of Cantiere Navale Carlini to a design by Carlo Sciarrelli (Project 104). This boat combines the charm of classic lines with the comfort of extraordinary interior volumes for a boat of her era, making her a perfect balance between elegance and habitability.

Carmen Serida is part of the so-called “Master’s strip,” the list in which Sciarrelli noted all his creations, marking with one or more asterisks those that were the most successful (Serida has 1). Among the boats mentioned in the list are true masterpieces of classic sailing such as Chaplin, Chica Boba II, Freya, Angelica II and Clan.

Notable features include a ketch rig, a space arrangement with four cabins and four bathrooms, as well as accessories that improve maneuverability and comfort on board, such as bowthruster, hydraulic furlers, generator, and watermaker.

Swan 53 – 16.48 m – A boat for long sailings

The second boat featured in our market is an authentic Swan hull, a model with a prestigious pedigree signed Germán Frers. We’re talking about Ballytrim, a Swan 53 (16.48 m x 4.75 m) designed to take on long sailings in safety, perfect for both cruising and racing. Recently undergoing a major refit, she boasts a new teak deck (2022), bow thruster, engine, rigging and updated instrumentation, as well as an extensive set of sails and dedicated equipment.

Her water lines reveal an uncompromising marine vocation: a sharp bow for excellent upwind performance, a wide stern for great stability at carrying gaits, and, in some configurations, a bayonet daggerboard and twin rudder blades to navigate even in shallow water. Inside, Nautor’s Swan’s large volumes and unmistakable finishes complete a boat perfect for those seeking performance, safety and style.

Southern Wind 72 – 21.89 m

Same era as the Swan but growing in size. This Southern Wind 72 (21, 89 m x 5.75 m) is a blue-water yacht of rare elegance and extraordinary performance, designed by Bruce Farr and built by the masters of the South African shipyard Southern Wind. Rugged, fast and seaworthy in all conditions, she represents the perfect balance of reliability and comfort.

Designed for safe and comfortable cruising, she is equipped with a bow thruster, electric winches, air conditioning, desalinizer and generator, as well as a large central cockpit that separates the maneuvering area from the guest relaxation area. A unique opportunity for those looking for a high-performance, stylish and fully equipped yacht.

Advanced 66 – 20.46 m – Fast, luxurious and comfortable
