The sixth edition of the Venice Boat Show will have a special bridge with the East and the Eastern market, falling under theExpo Osaka 2025 program. This year’s event will open its doors on May 29 and conclude on June 2. The event, which will take place in the beautiful setting of the Arsenal, is an outstanding showcase for the latest innovations and trends in the nautical world.
Venice Boat Show 2025: Innovation, sustainability and excellence
This year, the boat show shines a spotlight ontechnological innovation and environmental sustainability. Along the docks of the Arsenal, visitors will see as many as 15 world premieres, with a special focus on electric and hybrid propulsion for boats from 6 to 50 meters. With more than 300 boats on display, 240 of them in the water, and an expected attendance that will exceed the 30,000 visitors of the last edition. The event thus confirms itself as a catalyst for the transition to more sustainable boating, hosting cutting-edge and technologically advanced boats.
Among the protagonists of this edition are prestigious names in the Italian marine industry. Sanlorenzo will present the Show’s flagship, the 50-meter Almax, the world’s first superyacht equipped with a Reformer Fuel cell system capable of transforming green methanol into hydrogen. The Ferretti Group, a supporter of the Show since the first edition, will unveil the world premiere of the Pershing GTX 70 and the Ferretti Yacht 940.
Sailboats will be widely present, with a focus on Adriatic shipyards. Solaris for example, a historic shipyard from the Northeast, will bring its latest creations to Venice, with the national premiere of the Solaris 55 (debuting in Düsseldorf) and the bestselling Solaris 50.
A Bridge to the East
This year, the Venice Boat Show further strengthens its connection with the East by participating inExpo 2025 in Osaka. This international presence underscores Venice’s role as a bridge between West and East and provides a global showcase for Italian boating.
“The Venice Boat Show is one of the protagonists of the upcoming Expo 2025 Osaka with a dedicated event within the calendar of activities of the Italian Pavilion. – said Ambassador Mario Vattani, Commissioner General for Italy at Expo 2025 Osaka – A partner to promote the high technology and innovation of our Italian engineering and shipbuilding industry. It is precisely with Venice, a city that has been a bridge between East and West for centuries, that we inaugurate the promotion of Italy at Expo 2025 Osaka with a calendar full of activities and appointments: from a preview of the program of the next Architecture Biennale 2025, to the Murano glass chandelier “DieXe” by Kengo Kuma, to the glass vases designed by Yoichi Ohira, passing through the installation of the Bucintoro from the Correr Museum. We also bring to Japan the great tradition of opera, ballet and symphonic music thanks to our collaboration with Teatro La Fenice, which will have its Chorus perform at Osaka’s Festival Hall on April 22.”
Salon 2025 will see the return and expansion of the Wood Village, an area dedicated to the art of shipwrights, with an area for displaying wooden powerboats. There will be no shortage of space dedicated to water sports and fun, with demonstrations of innovative products such as surfing and foil.
