The Vendée Globe is a regatta that leaves its mark, on boats and on men. Giancarlo Pedote, who has completed two of them, with an eighth place in 2020/2021 and a 22nd in this latest edition, knows this well. Our live talk The Vendée Globe Trial turned its microphone back on to hear, just days before its finish, the words of Prysmian’s Tuscan skipper.
A candid interview where Pedote candidly went over his regatta, starting with the sporting result, “it was disappointing, but this is the Vendée Globe,” he told us. With Pedote we talked about many topics besides his regatta, he told us his opinion on the development of the Imoca 60 class, we talked about boat costs and also about designers. A well-rounded interview not to be missed, with our Luca Sordelli and Mauro Giuffrè.
