Like a super car with automatic controls, stylish and with attention to every detail: the debut boat, the Saffier SL 46, from Dutch shipyard Saffier Yachts certainly cannot be said to have gone unnoticed at Boot Düsseldorf. Placed at a very high end of the market, the brand’s flagship is the debut cruiser from a yard that was, and is, one of the leaders in the daysailer and weekender market.
Saffier SL 46 – What a boat it is
And it is precisely from the philosophy of the previous boats that the new creation takes its cue, which in fact brings with it maximum automation of maneuvers, for authentic easy sailing without, however, sacrificing the “horsepower” of the boat, which upwind has an impressive 118 square meters of canvas, not bad for a cruiser, despite the self-tacking jib. Thanks, for example, to a wide J, which allows a good-sized self-tacking, as well as a mainsail designed with a generous luff. The rest is done by the care, manic, of design and details, with elegant interiors finished with craftsmanship as evidenced by all the perfectly chamfered furniture corners. The high price, 950,000 euros, is a matter of debate, but the boat is offered as standard totally full optional: sails, electronics, internal and external refrigerator, electric winches, anchor windlass; practically the only optional extras not included in the basic package offered by the shipyard are the carbon mast and the furling mainsail in the boom.
