We are very close to the opening of Boot Düsseldorf, where J/Boats will not only present to the public for the first time the new J/40, but will unveil another ace up its sleeve by unveiling the first renderings of J/36, a fast cruiser that promises to combine performance and comfort in a winning formula. A natural successor to the J/112E, a boat that has garnered success and acclaim since 2016, winning several ORC and IRC World and European titles, as well as iconic regattas such as Cowes Week and Round the Island Race, J/36 with its somewhat classic flavor design and innovative features, is bidding to be one of the most talked about boats of the moment.

J/36: a winning legacy

The J/36 is the natural successor to the J/112E, a boat that has garnered so much success and acclaim since 2016. This new version not only improves an already popular model, but introduces elements that broaden its appeal to both racers and families looking for a versatile cruising boat. Prominent among J/36’s major new features is a completely redesigned deck plan. The now expanded cockpit, equipped with a double wheel, simplifies access and maneuvering, improving both racing efficiency and comfort while cruising. The boat retains an essential sail plan, consisting of a small mainsail and jib, and a sharp hull, inherited from the J/112E, which ensures excellent performance in all wind conditions.

A complete range

The debut of the J/36 is not only a technical evolution, but also a statement of intent: to redefine the fast cruiser concept in the midsize category. This new model joins J/40 and J/45 to complete the French shipyard’s range of cruising/racing boats with an American soul.
