As of Jan. 1, 2025, Special Rig, a brand of Armare Ropes, is the new exclusive distributor for the Italian market of the famous Gori Propeller propellers, a brand best known for its folding blade propeller models.
The Gori Propeller Range
Gori Propeller, founded in Haderslev, Denmark, is known for its propellers are not only designed to maximize performance, but also to adapt to use with hybrid engines, thus meeting the needs of an increasingly environmentally conscious market. Available in two-, three- and four-blade configurations, the knock-down propellers are undoubtedly Gori Propeller‘s flagship product. The distinguishing feature of Gori’s foldable propellers is their ability to reduce drag while sailing: the blades close automatically, allowing a decrease in drag of up to 35 percent. This also results in increased speed while sailing. These propellers are designed specifically for sailboats with engines ranging from 60 hp for the two-bladed up to 300 hp for the three- and four-bladed versions. Two-blade propellers are optimized to improve performance while sailing, providing minimal hydrodynamic drag and good maneuverability. Three-blade propellers, on the other hand, offer a balance between low drag under sail and maximum thrust while motoring. They also feature the Overdrive function, which allows a different usage profile to be selected simply by using the engine controls, thus improving efficiency and reducing noise and vibration.
Innovation and Sustainability
With this new partnership, Special Rig further expands its range of products dedicated to boating enthusiasts. In addition to Gori Propellers, the company offers a selection of high-end accessories for sail and power boats, including Ronstan equipment, Andersen winches, and Lopolight LED lights.
