Catamaran is synonymous with a sailing vacation for the vast majority of those who dream of a summer at sea. If you are planning yours for summer 2025, take a look at these suggestions. Some operators allow you to search the boat, the destination and the preferred itinerary, but if you want to have carte blanche and use the catamaran as you like you can always think, through the new services and formulas, to buy one! Maybe just for eight weeks a year?
Become an owner for 8 weeks a year

Smart Boat Owner is an innovative 6-year boat sharing program designed by 43° Parallelo. It consists of the purchase of a sharing sailboat or catamaran designed to last 6 years with 5 other boat owners, thus sharing the costs of purchase and maintenance, with the option to use the boat for 8 weeks per year, based on an equally defined schedule. Each person legally becomes the owner of 1/6th of the boat. To better understand here is an example of a quota for a Sun Odyssey 410: the list cost for complete boat with delivery in Scarlino is 447,252 euros equal to a quota cost with 6 quotas of 74,542 euros. Thanks to 43° Parallel’s offer, the quota cost drops to 66,000 euros. Added to this are the (estimated) annual costs for mooring, insurance, maintenance and repairs, miscellaneous expenses and service fees for a total of 28,200 euros and thus a cost per annual quota of 4,700 euros (VAT included) The system, carefully designed in every detail, is managed through a special app, allows all shipowners to be aware of every detail at all times and is designed to avoid any possible misunderstanding between shipowners.
Charter as in a 5-star hotel
Spartivento Yachts & Charter ‘s SAILUXE project is the luxury charter service on crewed catamarans tailor-made for those eager for an exclusive and sophisticated vacation. Each SAILUXE catamaran is entrusted to a qualified team consisting of a captain, chef from the Gambero Rosso Academy, and hostess who can offer a five-star experience combining relaxation and haute cuisine. Since 2019, SAILUXE has doubled bookings per season from 45 to 90 weeks. The fleet has also grown from six to 11 Lagoon catamarans, all above 51 feet, including a new flagship, the Lagoon SIXTY 5. All are ready to set sail for Italy’s most popular destinations: Sardinia, Sicily and the Amalfi Coast.
Book now for the perfect cruise

In addition to the business of managing boats, for which the company offers a targeted service, with renewable contracts year after year “tailor-made” for owners who want to put their cat to income, the big news of Mistral Sailing (by owner Luca Pedevilla) is the first online booking portal specifically on catamarans on www.mistralsailing.it. The portal offers multiple search keys. First by itinerary, with weekly proposals, tourist advice on places and bays, areoports, parking, and above all information on the best marinas where you can moor between the Aeolian Islands, Sardinia, Liguria, Tuscany, the Pontine Islands, Campania, the Egadi Islands, Greece, Croatia, the Balearic Islands, the French Riviera, Corsica, the Seychelles and Thailand. And then by favorite boat: do you want to sail on a comfortable state-of-the-art Lagoon? Have you been comfortable on a Bali Catsmart? Will your vacation be with family or will you be part of a larger crew? You can choose the specific model: by clicking, for example, on Lagoon 46 and selecting dates and location you will find the models available for charter. And you can compare models with each other. Again, Mistral Sailing can help you with your choice: just contact them, say what you need, and they will be able to find the right catamaran for you.
The charter that trains its skippers

MadMax Nautical Franchising stands out clearly from other fleets thanks to an exclusive approach: it charters its catamarans only with qualified skippers, all of whom are trained and certified through a 20-day intensive course at its in-house school. This guarantees the client the presence of a true professional on board, capable of ensuring safety and peace of mind for him and his family. In addition, thanks to the training, the MadMax skipper has the tools, spare parts and skills to solve any breakdown on the spot, avoiding long waits in port and ensuring a seamless vacation.
