ORC 52.2

The ORC brand , from the Marsaudon Composites shipyard, builder of sport cruising catamarans, has joined the Grand Large Group, which includes the Allures, Outremer, Garcia, Gunboat, and RM shipyards. The goal is to maintain the high-tech composite construction quality and know-how, while taking advantage of the economy of scale of a large group like Grand Large. Out of this synergy came the design of the new ORC 52.2, the catamaran that will replace the ORC 50 on the market.

ORC 52.2, the evolution of the 50

In fact this is an evolution of the ORC 50, a successful model with 26 hulls sold. This light and powerful catamaran will have more sunbathing space on deck, a new set of hatches, various details of the deckhouse have been redesigned, such as the front openings which are now much larger, and steps have been added at the mast foot to facilitate the work of lowering the mainsail. As for the interior, the atmosphere has been reworked by designer Franck Darnet to be a bit more welcoming, while maintaining the initial simplicity of the layout.
