Big news coming from Ice Yachts, the shipyard, which specializes in building semi-custom sport cruisers, has in fact announced the start of construction of theICE 80 Blue Water Sport, which will become the company’s new flagship. A vessel that represents a new frontier for the yard and Ice Yachts’ entry into the large luxury sailboat segment. The look winks at the style of modern sporty maxi yachts, but also recalls the lines of previous Ices for example in the shapes of the minimally styled deckhouse. The ICE 80 Blue Water Sport is the result of the well-established partnership between Ice Yachts and the Felci Yacht Design studio, with which the shipyard has created a number of high-performance projects over the past decade, including the iconic ICE 70.

Felci Yacht Design studio oversaw every aspect of the design, from naval architecture to structures, layout to interior styling, and deckhouse and deck design, maintaining the distinctive style of the boats born from the partnership with Ice Yachts. Ice Yachts’ technical department, on the other hand, engineered the systems and supervised the production process.
The construction
Construction of the ICE 80 will take place at the Salvirola shipyard. Like all of the yard’s boats, the ICE 80 will be built entirely in Italy, confirming Ice Yachts’ commitment to Made in Italy quality and craftsmanship. The hull, deck and structures will be made entirely of carbon using the “one shot” vacuum infusion technique, a procedure that guarantees lightness and maximum strength for high performance.
Deck and interior

The ICE 80 Blue Water Sport boasts a double-cockpit deck layout, separating the maneuvering area from the guest area. The deck features wide walkways and a low, streamlined deckhouse, while the stern is equipped with a spacious swim platform, and a roomy garage for a 3.50-meter tender. The interior is designed to offer a spacious owner’s cabin and two VIP cabins for guests, as well as a separate crew area equipped with two separate double cabins, a full galley, chart and controls, with separate entrances. The ICE 80 Blue Water Sport is scheduled for delivery in 2026.
