Comet Maxi - 1
So will be the new Comet Maxi, the 24- to 30-m yachts built by Comar Yachts in Fiumicino, Italy.

Luxury Comets are born: Comar Yachts, the builder of Comets and, in the shipyard’s last historical phase, C-Catamarans(the latest being the C-Cat 65), also announces the birth of the Comet Maxi line. A range that will be built in-house, since there is no shortage of space at the Fiumicino shipyard.

The new Comet Maxi range

Designed in collaboration between Studio Amadio & Partners and Studio Tecnico Comar Yachts (which is certainly not “alien” to the Maxi world, as the shipyard has the Comet 100 and 85 RS in its portfolio), the new Comet Maxi range, which includes models from 24 to 30 meters, was created in search of the synthesis of contemporary design and high performance.

The renderings accompanying this article are of the “concept boat” that will feature the ‘entire 80- to 100-foot range (and dockside rumors say there are already potential owners well beyond interested).

The key points of the line

The characteristic feature of these yachts (because they are yachts, being over 24 m) are precisely the sleek, refined lines with a slender hull structure and low deckhouse equipped with large panoramic windows (including a particular one, with a “futuristic” cut in the middle) that starts aft of the mast, leaving the deck completely “flush” at the bow.

Designed to cope with even the most challenging weather and sea conditions, the new Comet Maxi models are engineered for safety, stability and ease of handling in the open sea. The large cockpit features double rudders, positioned to optimize maneuvering space and livability in the stern, and folding tables with generous seating that, as they widen toward the stern, reach right in front of the helm stations.

The garage for the tender has a separate crew entrance, providing a practical solution for boat storage. The stern is designed with an integrated swim platform, facilitating direct access to the sea.

Comet Maxi

The interiors of the Comet Maxi are designed for comfort and adaptability, with a space layout that optimizes each room. The configuration of the interiors can be customized to meet owners’ specific requirements. Maneuvering systems are modern and fully integrated, designed to ensure precise and controlled navigation.
