Antal is preparing to close out 2024 with its participation in Mets in Amsterdam. The show dedicated exclusively to nautical accessories, held in the Netherlands, concludes the great fall fair and exhibition season for Antal, which this year confirmed its presence at the Genoa Boat Show and made a successful debut in France at the Cannes Boat Show.
The Racing & Development team
It was precisely the Genovese event that was the occasion when Antal presented one of its biggest innovations with a press conference: the Racing & Development team. This is a team, composed of top ocean sailors, dedicated to the testing and development of its highest performing products. Some big names in Italian sailing (but present on international stages) such as Pietro Luciani, Andrea Fornaro (Class40) and Cecilia Zorzi (Mini 650) are currently part of the team. The team’s job is to study all the possible needs of an ocean sailor (regarding deck equipment) and then study, together with the Padua-based company, possible solutions. The“Antal Method” allows products to be tested with ocean sailors, and not only through laboratory testing, and is for Antal a huge added value and an extra guarantee of the goodness of what it produces.
Antal’s new products
If in Genoa we saw the new R&D team, in Cannes we were able to get an up-close preview of the new JR (Just for Race) series winches. The new winch displayed in France, only in the aluminum version, was the debut of the Just for Race line dedicated to racing boats and performance-cruisers. At Mets in Amsterdam it will be presented for the first time in the world, and will be the first of Antal’s new high-tech products for the 2025 season. Antal has chosen to present itself for the first time at the Cannes Boat Show to make itself known to the French public as well, which is very oriented toward offshore sailing and racing, including ocean racing.
Also at Mets we will see other new products from Antal make their debut, one of which is also among in nominees for the DAME Design Awards, the prizes given during the Amsterdam Fair. This is the new Tulip series beacon, designed to be very strong and at the same time very light. The other novelty is the Speedylight winch handle, a handle equipped with a white or red light, useful not only to illuminate the bell, but also to provide light in the cockpit, for example if you want to read a book in the dark. In addition to the novelties, of course, all of Antal’s flagship products will be on display at Mets. There is more to Antal ‘s 2024-2025 than just new products, however. In fact, there will be the opening of the new Antal House, with the new, much larger hall, which will further increase productivity. Antal looks forward to seeing you at Mets Amsterdam at booth number 02.514.
