Nordic, marine, rugged, suitable for living aboard even in winter, we could sum up the Swedish Heyman 42 PPH, a boat competing in the European Yacht of the Year at Boot Dusseldorf.
Heyman 42 – What a boat it is
The boat has a retro style, with a distinctive inverted stern line reminiscent of classic boats, as well as the deck that goes up toward the bow.

A kind of additional “canard,” an additional retractable centreboard that brings the draft to more than 3 meters, can be hidden inside the long keel upon request, to be used in case of need, such as upwind when not facing shallow waters. The rudder, on the other hand, is equipped with a protective semi-skeg.

The interior is basically designed for a couple, with the intention of making this boat a kind of ultra-comfortable second sailing home. There is still room for a double-bed guest cabin, however, and in general the central living area is also large and especially takes advantage of the panoramic view from the deckhouse.
