Louis Vuitton Cup Luna Rossa
Luna Rossa racing during Louis

Louis Vuitton Cup Final Eve in Barcelona Less than 24 hours from now, the challenge between Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli and Ineos Britannia begins in Barcelona, best of 13 races, a remake of the 2021 match in Auckland. In recent days, the boats have been out practicing, they have mostly tested the strong wind conditions, with Britannia engaging several times with defender Team New Zealand, while Luna Rossa has preferred to keep their distance and cover their cards.
The Kiwis’ big boss, Grant Dalton, speaking to reporters said he would prefer to have Britannia in the America’s Cup final, but considers Luna Rossa more solid and favored.

The Italian boat arrives at the final in good shape and will face the team that probably has the greatest resources among those in this Cup, with tycoon Jim Ratcliffe being the second richest man in England, and of course Britannia’s scariest sailor is multiple Olympic medalist Ben Ainslie, who with Dylan Fletcher has formed a coxswain pair that seems to work very well.
The Brits, however, seem to have weaknesses, especially in light winds, where Luna is very strong.
