5 used boats from 9.99 to 11.20 m
You will find boats very diverse in style and philosophy.
From pure cruisers to bluewater, through what were considered at the time to be real “pearls” out of the chorus. We present them in ascending order of length. A safe used car: guarantees the Sailing Newspaper!
Beneteau Oceanis 34 – 9.99 m – The Little Big Vessel
The first of the used boats for sale on our marketplace is a great little boat: the Beneteau Oceanis 34 (10.34 x 3.65 m, 9.99 hull length), which has been in production since 2008, has been a well-executed boat.
Some details: the fold-down aft seat simplifies access to the cockpit, the halyard winches are positioned at the side of the hatch.
The mainsail luff, perhaps, a bit short (as well as the position of the shrouds mooring lines inconvenient as it reduces the passage to the bow)
The two-cabin version is definitely the one we prefer. The large L-shaped kitchen dominates the entrance below deck. The square, more forward, consists of a U-shaped sofa around the table and one at the broadside. The latter also serves the chart table positioned further forward. The cabins appear voluminous although they are somewhat lacking in stowage space. The model we propose, visible in Chiavari (Genoa) is from 2011: it is the two-cabin, one-bathroom version, with mahogany interior.
Well maintained, it is equipped with every comfort.
Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 35 – 10.75 m – Comfort boat
We continue with the second of the used boats. We are talking about a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 35 (10.75 x 3.49 m), a boat that replaces, as of 2003, the glorious Sun Odyssey 34.2 and is the work of up-and-coming designer Marc Lombard.
Beautiful side profile, with an almost vertical bow and a deckhouse tapered towards the bow with a nice window design.
The stern opens to facilitate passage to the swim platform.
Interiors are provided in two versions, with double cabin forward and master cabin aft or three cabins.
The common area is in correspondence with the maximum width, with a large table with folding doors surrounded by two sofas.
On either side of the downdraft is a galley and, on the other side, chartroom and washroom.
The model for sale, visible in the La Spezia area, is from 2004 and has always had one owner.
The boat is in owner’s version with two cabins and one bathroom, has always been kept in the best of shape, with plenty of storage on land from October to May, every year.
There is also the possibility, along with the boat, to have berth rental.
C0met 36 – 10.90 m – Elegant, fast, comfortable
Let’s move on to the third of the boats used in today’s review, a Comet 36 (10.90 x 3.57 m), in production from 2000 to 2009 at the legendary Comar shipyard in Fiumicino.
The hull for sale, visible in Riva di Traiano (Rome) is late 2004.
Powered by Lombardini 29 horsepower, single-owner, it is in good overall condition.
The version is the two-cabin one.
Dehler 36 DB – 11.01 m – A boat out of the choir
The penultimate of the used boats under the lens is a Classic Boat Storica by Giornale della Vela, thus destined to increase in value over time.
There is a Dehler 36 DB (11.01 x 3.50 m) waiting for a new owner: a 1990 Van de Stadt design that was very unusual for the time.
The entire interior is made of plastic.
There is not a single piece of wood visible.
There are curves everywhere, with the wide radii often used in interior design of the time.
An unusual out-of-the-box idea for those times where wood was still considered the mainstream solution for interiors. The boat, then, was fast being in fact a racer/cruiser (63.82 square meters of canvas for just under 6 tons displacement). In northern Europe he won several regattas. The maximum beam of the boat is in the center, as the IMS regulations reverting to the IOR wanted at the time. The square, where the kitchen and bathroom with rounded shapes find space, is spacious. Completing the layout are the double cabin forward, the two doubles aft, and the two large sofas in the dinette with the dining table in the center. The model for sale has an open cockpit, tiller steering, three cabins and a bathroom.
The layout, while basic, is more than comfortable for eight people. Attractive and negotiable price.
Najad 361 – 11.20 m – Bluewater of value
The fifth and last of the used boats for sale is for true connoisseurs, lovers of Nordic and “bluewater” boats characterized by very high build quality.
A boat for grinding miles in safety and comfort We are talking about a Najad 361 (11.20 x 3.50 m), in production from 1994 to 2001.
Deck and gunwale are teak as standard, interior is solid fine mahogany. The height below deck is as much as 1.92 m, the galley has a development of as much as 2.35 m, and serve to convey the convenience that characterizes this boat. Three cabins and two bathrooms. The model for sale can be seen in Gallipoli (Lecce) and is in excellent condition.
The boat is from 1999.
