Prototype floating platform
The prototype – unveiled last year – of the accessible floating dock.

disabled sailor Marco Rossato, Carlo Alberto Carrai of Madeit4a – a Viareggio-based company that produces the davits and other aids for disabilities – Lorenzo Isalberti, president of Ingemar, the project’s group leader.

A platform equipped to facilitate the boarding and disembarkation of people with disabilities will be set up at the Genoa 2024 Boat Show.
The project is being overseen by Ingemar (which as the Show’s Technical Partner provides all the floating docks to which the novelties are moored) and Madeit4a. That’s what it’s all about.

An accessible landing for all.
We hope it will arrive at every port

But that is not all that makes Ingemar’s participation special.
At the heart of Ingemar’s participation at the Salone, this time as an exhibitor, is the presentation of the floating pontoon Marina4all (M4A).
This floating platform of more than 40 square meters, installed in the Salone basin and built in cooperation with Madeit4a, a leader in removing architectural barriers in boating, is a project that aims to make boating accessible to everyone, including those with mobility disabilities.
The creation of the platform is part of the Marina4all project, which recently obtained the sponsorship of Confindustria Nautica, an important recognition of its inclusive and innovative aims.
Doing the honors on the M4A platform will be Marco Rossato, a disabled sailor who last year completed the Tour of Italy by Sail with the “Navigare Oltre i Limiti” project.
Rossato, together with the association I Timonieri Sbandati, will manage the M4A meeting area, a space dedicated to the discussion and exchange of ideas among experts, athletes and operators in the nautical sector. The goal? Discuss the concrete possibilities of developing comfort for all in modern boating, an increasingly relevant and central issue.
During the days of the Boat Show, the M4A platform will also host representatives of the prestigious Blue Marine Award, an award that recognizes Italian marinas for their excellence (including accessibility).
This award, in keeping with the spirit of Marina4all, promotes sustainability and innovation in the nautical sector.

Where you will find the accessible pier

For those who would like to find out more about Ingemar‘s projects, the company will have a booth(TE12/TF11, Hall B, upper floor), while the special M4A landing is located at thewestern corner of Quay A.
Ingemar’s exhibition spaces are made of solid wood regenerated from the staves of the Palau harbor, installed by Ingemar in 1986 and recently renovated.
