On the occasion of the Cannes Yachting Festival, Dufour announced the arrival of a new cruiser, the Dufour 48, a 15-meter by Umberto Felci designed for those who enjoy outdoor living.
Encouraging above-deck living, Dufour 48 features both a traditional aft cockpit, with a lounge area equipped with an expandable double table, and a second forward cockpit with large sunbathing areas. The transom then, once the swim platform is opened, reveals an outdoor galley, perfect for those who like to cook in the bay.
Dufour 48 is the new cruiser signed Felci
Heir to the Dufour 470, the second model born under Fountaine Pajot management and also designed by Umberto Felci, Dufour 48 features fluid, modern lines that give generous volumes to the interior and ample deck area to the exterior.
Benefiting from this are the cruising guests, who in addition to having two relaxation areas forward and aft, enjoy capacious and spacious interiors.
Interesting is the outdoor galley, under the central aft bench, a feature now standard on powerboats, which also allows those at the stove to enjoy their time spent in the bay.
The deckhouse offers the classic “long” profile, that is, it runs all the way past the mast foot, thus avoiding the flush deck, but offering superior interior skies and more light.
The decision to replace the usual deckhouse windows with two unique longitudinal windows, with built-in openings, to allow more light to enter is particular.
The interior designed by interior design firm Ardizio Design, features 5 different layout options for number of cabins and variable kitchen layout. In the saloon, there is a choice of a galley in a longitudinal or front version, which expands or reduces the size of the table.
In the 3-cabin version, the owner’s one is in the bow.
