There will be not only new boats and yachts at the upcoming boat shows in Cannes and Genoa, but also many new accessories.
Among the main new products to be unveiled at the shows will be Osculati – a manufacturer with a huge catalog of nautical accessories-there are also these four accessories that you can have on board your boat.
The wireless powered light rod
This carbon rod with white light (LED 12 V – 2.5 W) is powered by a wireless removable baseplate, which allows all exposed magnetic contacts to be eliminated providing greater safety and convenience.
The bayonet coupling allows the hull to be left virtually clean when storing the light, as only the steel-edged disc containing the power base remains.
It has a completely watertight seal, 360-degree visibility up to 2 nautical miles away, and is available in lengths of 60 or 100 centimeters.
Magnetic doorstop
No more makeshift doorstops, which shift at the first movement of the boat and make all the doors slam.
The solution is this tiny magnetic doorstop, consisting of a fixed block with a magnet tilted at an 18-degree angle, to be mounted on the door, and a retractable plate that attaches to the floor.
When the door is fully open, the magnet approaches the plate by lifting and attracting it to hold it in place.
It is available for door heights from 4 to 10 mm above the floor and comes with shock-absorbing and vibration-absorbing gaskets.
The floor plate measures 4 x 3.2 cm while the one with the magnet to be attached to the door measures 5.6 x 3.7 cm.
The retractable bedside lift
Ideal for lifting and opening lockers and interior storage spaces, this stainless steel handle is large in size (more than 10 cm long) and very practical for its main feature: it disappears when not needed.
It is flush-mounted with M4 studs (no visible screws) and has an automatic extraction system that allows the handle to appear simply by pushing one end of the base plate.
A snap system locks the handle when it is fully withdrawn (and when it is hidden) while an anti-vibration system prevents the production of tedious noise.
The ultra-thin hatch
Also imported to Italy by Osculati is the British brand Lewmar, which presents its new collection of super-slim profile hatches to salons.
In fact, it is called Ultra-Low Profile the new hatch that installs only 10 millimeters above the deck while minimizing aesthetic impact and bulk.
The hatch is made of durable and lightweight gray acrylic, while the frame is made of anodized aluminum for excellent strength.
The hatch can be retrofitted without new holes or deck work, as it is compatible with most Lewmar and other brand hatches.
