Lagoon 620 Neo
A 2012 Lagoon 620 was the first catamaran to take advantage of Lagoon’s NEO program.
Reconditioned and returned to the customer “like new,” under warranty.

Don’t imagine a “conventional” refitting process; Lagoon, through its new NEO program, gives its customers back a boat that is new and updated in everything.
To date, no one had thought of this in the boating world.

Lagoon NEO, how the program works

The first result will be presented in Cannes, and it is a 2012 Lagoon 620, completely overhauled and partly rebuilt in the yards that Beneteau Group has set up in Monfalcone.
The Firefly, this is the name of the boat, was repurchased by the shipyard in February, after also working as a charter in the Mediterranean: what better boat as a calling card than this one?
The NEO program involves several steps; first, the boat is had an appraisal done and, with the help of a technician, all problems and any damage to be repaired are highlighted. Lagoon 620 NEO

Catamaran reconditioned and under warranty

The main equipment is landed and most is overhauled or replaced (we are talking about more than 70 percent refurbished materials).
The customer can then choose three steps of work: a Standard one, which includes what has been described so far and an interior refresh, or an upgrade to the Silent pack, which also includes the installation of solar panels and lithium batteries, to the highest level of restoration, the Premium pack, which also includes a complete repainting of the hull.
The boat, once it leaves the yard, has a two-year warranty.

Lagoon NEO, less impact

Beneteau has included in its Sailing for Change the NEO program for Lagoon catamarans, an idea in which the group believes very much, also as a help to the environment: rebuilding a boat, in fact, has a significantly lower impact at the level of CO2 emissions than building a new hull, especially because the fiberglass of a disused catamaran does not have to be disposed of.
In fact, thanks to a project like NEO, the Group estimates by 2030 that it will be able to cut pollutant emissions from the construction of its boats by 30 percent, thanks in part to modernizations and certifications of its production sites, very strict pollution protocols, and collaboration with nonprofits working to protect the marine environment.
Lagoon also plans to create a dealer network dedicated to catamarans that are reviewed by technicians in the NEO program. How quickly is a “used” catamaran prepared?
6 months of work
will be sufficient to deliver to the berth a Lagoon 620 revised from stern to bow and updated with the latest solutions applied by the manufacturer on its latest manufactured boats.
