On Saturday, September 28, the VELA Cup makes a stop in Procida.
Full of delicious freshly caught seafood restaurants, churches and museums, with its long sandy beaches, small bays, unforgettable inlets and breathtaking views, Procida is a truly unique island where you can winter and take advantage of the boat all year round.
Today we reveal the route of the great sailing festival where everyone, but really everyone, is invited to participate! 
For the first time, the great SAIL festival makes a stop in Procida
The “sailing” Procida has great potential: two harbors and beautiful bays well sheltered make it a favorite stop for those sailing along the Peninsula. And many owners prefer to leave their boats here, rather than in the many ports of the Gulfs of Naples, Gaeta or even Salerno. Yet it has remained somewhat out of the big sailing competitions in the Gulf. How come?“Some of it is the character of the island, which remains the most authentically traditional in the Gulf, and some of it has lacked a driving force,” Corrado Bianco, president of the Procida Naval League, explains. “So we are particularly happy to organize a leg of the VELA Cup, which here in Procida will be enriched by a series of other events, at sea as well as on land.
Right from the start I have had the enthusiastic support of the Mayor and the Sports Councillor, whom I thank; it will be a magnificent weekend of sports, nature and culture “.

The route is unforgettable: clockwise tour of the island, passing through the canals of Ischia and Capo Miseno, and second counterclockwise tour for the fastest boats. 
They all start together, but each group has its own classification and a tailor-made course, which of course will be defined in detail depending on the weather conditions.
The organization is complex, but we have an experienced staff, starting with Vice President Vittorio Helzel, Managing Director Francesco Zezza, and Boatswain Paolo Di Costanzo, who knows these waters like few others “. All set then, all that remains is to register, but do it soon if you want a place on the dock!
For latecomers however The Procida Naval League is organizing a safe anchorage at the Silurenza roadstead, with continuous shore transportation service.
