4 Used Classic Boats from 8 to 13 meters

Classic Boat certainly means that they are hulls over twenty-five years old in design, but that does not mean they cannot fully satisfy us.
You just have to find the right boat for your needs; the year doesn’t matter in this regard.
In fact, some 80s bluewater still know how to say their piece, more than you expect.
In any case, here are 2 cruisers, 1 performance cruiser and an outstanding racer. A safe used car: guarantees the Sailing Newspaper!

Hallberg Rassy 42E; a classic for deep-sea cruising

For cruising enthusiasts, and even more so for those most enthusiastic about deep-sea cruising, long sailings, going anywhere, the Hallberg Rassy 42E is a boat that’s quite a mouthful.
Designed by Christoph Rassy & Olle Enderlein in 1980, this 12.9-meter is perhaps the 80s bluewater by definition, a true globetrotter. They built over 250 of them. The one for sale in our yard sale is super-equipped and, among many other things, boasts a 75-horsepower Volvo Penta D2, a 2.70-meter Plastimo tender from 2021, and the engine for this one, a Torqeedo Travel 10035. The tender, by the way, is installed on the stern davits, so it is also easy to put in the water.

Beneteau First Class 12; a production thoroughbred

In the 1980s there was a mythical regatta, the dream of many, the Admiral’s Cup. Beneteau, far-sighted, designed a hull to compete and, at the same time, made a production version, to make the general public dream as well. The First Class 12, an exceptional 11.99 meters, was born.
One, it is for sale on our marketplace.
But, WARNING, it is not only for sale, the owner also accepts a 50/50 partner!
Interesting bargain.
This is a very fast boat and, as of now, has a freshly redone keel, hull and deck.
The Engine is overhauled, a 2005 Volvo Penta D2-44 41kW.

STRAIGHT BATTLE V, a cult hit by Ron Holland

We return to the cruising front, but with a one-off project.
It is the Botta Dritta V, a splendid design by Ron Holland built by Cantieri Gallinari of Anzio in 1981.
This is a 13.15-meter with a classic and not unfamiliar flavor, a laminated sloop with a very clean deck and solid interior, with 3 double cabins, two bathrooms and 2 extra berths.
Condition is very good and sail clearance is complete.
