Palma de Mallorca was not clement for the sea test of the new Mylius 66 RS, designed by Alberto Simeone, giving us a very unspring-like day despite the period in which we tested the boat.
Our experience aboard Mylius’ newest addition was not marred by the rain, however, as we actually had the opportunity to test the boat in “critical” conditions, that is, with little wind and a slight swell.
For a bluewater, which for our test was rigged with a self-tacking jib, these are certainly not “comfortable” conditions, but the new model proved to have hidden cards.

Generation raised saloon
There is no doubt that for as long as the Mylius brand has existed, the study of forms has been a strong point of the shipyard, which precisely in the deckhouses has often had its stylistic signatures. Many Mylius are remembered for their almost flush deck and minimalist, the new 66 RS in this respect makes a change of course. The deckhouse is indeed there, equipped with a panoramic glass window, and an additional rigid element, a spray hood, which shelters the cockpit dining area from the sun or any weather. Maneuvers are all deferred to the stern.
