It comes from Sweden even though its name, Shogun 43, is almost reminiscent of the East, it certainly does not have the typical Nordic boat standards. The latest addition to the Shogun brand, from the Linjett Yachts shipyard, is a fast cruiser, built in carbon, that has a design that straddles the line between racing, offshore in particular, and the more exquisitely cruising dimension.

Shogun 43: the new high-tech full-carbon bolide
Made entirely of carbon with vacuum infusion, the hull of Shogun 43 is particularly light: only 6 tons for a 13-meter yacht. Much of the weight is concentrated in the bulb, which gives this yacht a high righting moment and allows for a more very large sail area.
The construction method used by the site is also peculiar: hull and deck are made of a single structure, which makes the boat much stronger. Shogun 43 is available in both cruising, with a classic mainsail and self-tacking jib, and racing, with a square-top mainsail.
Interior
The shipyard’s main goal was to create a yacht with which to sail fast that was also pleasant and comfortable for cruising.
The interior layout has a very unique open-space layout. There is the option of interiors without the bow door, a particularly convenient solution when racing and using the forward cabin to lower sails.
In the stern are two spacious double cabins, and in the middle is an L-shaped galley with ample room to work and all the appliances needed for comfortable cruising. Across from the kitchen is the living room with two sofas that, of course, turn into beds. Among them is a folding table with a top that folds in half and can be completely removed.
