Sailing is the best expression of a country looking to the future
Recall that the Giro d’Italia a Vela 2024 is an event of the Navy Pink Ribbon Tour that encompasses the varied “sports” souls of sailing. Indeed, there is the allure of offshore racing, contested by the fleet of ten Bénéteau Figaro 3s, combined with the dynamic competitiveness of buoy racing, where specialists in the Wingfoil and Waszp classes are the stars. But the Navy Pink Ribbon Tour is also a great platform within which the culture of the sea and nautical tourism, environmental protection and the blue economy, so valuable to our country, is promoted.
The Giro d’Italia a Vela started last June 15 from Genoa and stopped in San Remo, La Maddalena, Gaeta, Catanzaro, Durres (Albania), Vieste, San Benedetto, Chioggia and Venice. And it is in this wonderful place, a symbol of Italy’s culture and great seafaring tradition, that they will celebrate all these boys and girls who, in addition to being true sailing professionals, are also the best expression, dynamic, positive and enterprising, of our country. Don’t miss it!
