News of the existence of this project had been circulating for a while, but now the Leopard 46 has become a reality. The shipyard at the moment is maintaining a certain confidentiality in communication regarding the boat, and the photo we received came from a Facebook group of Leopard owners, partly because the model in question is rather unusual for the South African shipyard’s production.
The new Leopard 46, which has nothing to do as water lines to its motor-powered namesake on the market for the past few years, is in fact a boat that will be offered in a hybrid-electric version, likely that the shipyard is conducting final tests before an official presentation.
The Leopard sailing range currently has 3 models, the 41, 45 and 50. It is likely that the new 46 will replace the 45 on the market, starting next fall and from the Boat Shows.
Leopard Catamarans – Leopard 46

For those who like high-end cruising catamarans with luxury amenities, the name Leopard Catamrans will certainly be familiar. These catamarans were born in the South African Robertson & Caine shipyards and bear the signature of architects Simonis & Voogd. In our country they are imported by the company Sail Italia, the first to focus on the construction and sailing qualities of these cat.
The Leopard Catamarans shipyard now has three models in its range: the Leopard 42, 45, and 50. Three hulls accumulated by a distinct family feeling, including a large fly bridge with command station and outdoor living area, with a sheltered main cockpit. There are also three motre models that Leopard Catamarans is developing, namely the 40, 46 and 53. The motor-powered 40 will be new for 2023, while on the sailing front the upcoming novelty will fit between 55 and 60 feet.
