News coming soon for Excess Catamarans, with a Lego-style preview the French shipyard, part of the larger Beneteau Group, has announced a new model on the way. The first official renders will have to wait a few more days, and an official presentation will be made at the upcoming Cannes Yachting Festival, for a catamaran that will presumably see the water in 2025.
Excess has not released much information except one: it will be placed between Excess 11 and 14. Reviewing the yard‘s range, it is therefore easy to imagine the size of the next catamaran. Excess has the 11, 12, 14 and 15 in production, so the Excess 13 will most likely be the addition to the range. Following the measurements of the other models, we could envision a length around 13 meters or so for the future cat cruiser.
If the Lego version is realistic, as some of it will be, it promises to be an interesting catamaran especially because of the design of the deckhouse, which seems to leave a lot of clean space on deck.
Excess Catamarans
Excess catamarans are characterized by a sporty aesthetic and are designed for a cruiser who likes to hoist sails on vacation-this is the philosophy behind the Excess 11,12,14 and 15, from 11 to 15 meters.
The brand is part of the Beneteau group like Lagoon, but compared to the latter, the ratio of displacement to sail area has different proportions that pay more attention to sailing performance. Plus you can choose the Pulse Line version with an increased sail plan, and other customization options inside as well.
