The 40th anniversary celebration of Lagoon, the famous French catamaran manufacturer, was celebrated in Sardinia’s Cala dei Sardi with a record.
Lagoon, NSS, Sardinia, la dolce vita
Some 40 Lagoons of all sizes on the occasion of the World Escapade, a world tour organized to celebrate the anniversary, were moored at Cala dei Sardi, the only truly eco-friendly Marina in the Mediterranean. Cala dei Sardi is located in a unique location on the Emerald Coast, just a stone’s throw from Porto Rotondo.

The Marina is the preferred landing place for the leading European charter company NSS Yachting, organizer of the event, which is headquartered here. Already the dock with that parade of Lagoons is a priceless sight in itself, but so was the crowd of the French shipyard’s hundreds of fans from all over the world who represented a colorful corollary, ideally one crew from all over the planet.
Lagoon beach party
The Lagoon World Escapade Tour was a three-day celebration which had its memorable moment in the sailing parade of some 30 catamarans that from Cala dei Sardi, passing through the island of Mortorio and the bays of Cala di Volpe, Romazzino, Pevero anchored in front of the enchanting beach of Punta Marana for a beach party with swimming in the crystal clear waters of Sardinia.

The best of the fleet
Not even at the Cannes or La Rochelle boat shows was the Lagoon range so complete: from the 23-meter Seventy 7 luxury catamaran to the smallest in the range
Lagoon 40
(m. 11.74), from the brand new 60 (m. 18.27) to the best seller 46 (m. 14.77). Equally iconic was the gala dinner on the evening of Saturday, May 18, on the lawn sloping down to the sea at Cala dei Sardi, concluded with music, dancing and some adventurous night swimming.

The Whole Lagoon World from NSS Yachting
Simone Morelli patron of NSS Yachting and Europe’s best Lagoon dealer with his staff, including former Vespucci commander
Gianfranco Bacchi
and sailing communicator Alessandro Balzani, organized an impeccable event in the perfect spirit that distinguishes NSS Yachting and Lagoon: having fun while enjoying going to sea.
Italians, British, French, U.S., northern Europeans but also Australians have admired the beauty of Italy but also the “dolce vita” for which we are world famous. This is another reason the shipyard chose Sardinia, NSS Yachting and Cala dei Sardi to celebrate its 40th anniversary.
