On Saturday, June 1, get ready for an explosive weekend in Salento with the VELA Cup Brindisi! Today we unveil the route of the great sailing festival where everyone, but really everyone, is invited to participate: experienced sailors, novice sailors and anyone ready for an adventure at sea!

Between history and natural oases, here is the route of the VELA Cup Brindisi
The VELA Cup Brindisi route is a breathtaking walk along the historic routes of Brindisi’s boats. Imagine plowing through the crystal-clear waters, with the wind in your hair, past the dreamy beaches of Punta Penne and Torre Testa, and then diving into the Torre Guaceto Nature Reserve, a true paradise between land and sea.
Register Now for the VELA Cup Brindisi
At 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, cannon shot and off we go! The starting line will be positioned north of the Puntariso Dam, outside the port of Brindisi. The first destination is the buoy near the Punta Penne-Punta del Serrone Area of Natural and Historical Interest, where the famous Bronzes were discovered in ’92, now on display at the Brindisi Archaeological Museum. From there, a nice ride along the coast to the second buoy, which is located not far from the Torre Guaceto Marine Protected Area. Then you tack and head back to the starting line.
It will be about 13 miles of sailing, but don’t worry, if the wind drops, we will shorten the route to ensure an unforgettable adventure for everyone! In the evening then, at the Brindisi Marina, we will all celebrate together. In addition to a very rich award ceremony, with prizes (almost) for everyone, there will be plenty of music and food! So pack your sails, get your energy up and we look forward to seeing you at the VELA Cup Brindisi!
Free moorings for those from outside
Come with us Marina di Brindisi during the VELA Cup Brindisi, it’s a real bargain! Throughout the weekend, mooring is free if you come from outside! A strategic Marina, friendly and functional facility offering all the traditional services, from berthing with 650 berths up to 50 m, to toilets and showers, from the fuel station to a tourist office and a first-class boatyard.
