Do you have the boat but lack the crew to participate in the VELA Cup? Saturday, April 27, don’t stay down, we’ll help you with MyMatchRace, the digital platform that helps you complete your crew with missing roles! Register, following the steps we describe below and complete your crew. If you are a sailor, the procedure is basically the same!

- May 31/June 1 – VELA Cup Brindisi

- October 4/5 – VELA Cup Sicily
Looking for crew or boarding, here’s how to do it!
STEP 1: Create a profile

to begin registration.
Enter your biographical information and your e-mail address, set your password, and activate your profile by clicking the link you will receive at the e-mail address you provided (be careful to spell it correctly!…and watch your spam folder if you still don’t receive the link!).
STEP 2: What racer are you?
Complete your profile with your seafaring and sports/racing experience.
If you are a boat owner or skipper, your personal profile will be associated with your Boat profile. No more than two vessels can be associated with each personal profile.
If you are a sailor, “role held” and “role desired” information is essential to enable matching of boarding supply and demand!
Fill in everything to be able to access the next step, the “Seeking/Offering Boarding” step.
Step 3: Look for a boarding/crew!
If you are a boat owner or skipper, post your “offer boarding,” indicating the sail or regatta or the period and area for which you are offering crew. And, of course, the role you are missing!
If you are a sailor, post your “looking for boarding,” for the sail or regatta or the period and area for which you are looking for a boat. The system will automatically indicate the role entered in your profile.
MyMatchRace will automatically combine compatible applications and offers. With MyMatchRace, you can also independently search for the racer(s) for the desired role by activating the search filters.
The regatta for everyone, even if you have a “vintage” boat
The VELA Cup, you know by now, is a regatta for everyone. There are those who participate in the Sport Boat category, using non-inferred sails such as spi, gennaker and code 0, and those who just want to have fun with friends and family, in the Cruising Boat category , with white sails. There are special prizes for those boats, including standard and fiberglass boats, at least 25 years old, Classic Boats, for the most beautiful boat in each stage (Elegant Boat), and even the last place winner wins something.
Finally, in addition to a rich gift bag, Saturday night at the award ceremony will be raffled off numerous beautiful prizes offered by our partners Moby, IBSA, Honda, HiNelson, Garmin, Leatherman, ACSI Sailing, Veneziani Yachting, Plastimo, YachtIngBond, AMBECO.
