At Marina di Nettuno (Rome ) you can try one of the Excess Cat amarans brand catamarans during the upcoming weekend, April 13 and 14. The catamarans available will be two of the most popular models in the range, the Excess 11 and 14, boats that combine the grit and speed of a monohull sailboat with the comfort and stability of a catamaran.
Excess sea trials on Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14
Sea Trials are organized by the official dealer Sailing in Italy at the Neptune Marina for Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14. The brand is one of the youngest in the boating scene, born a few years ago from a rib of the Beneteau group to be the sportier alternative to the Lagoon brand. At present, the range consists of four models-11, 12 14 and 15-with lengths ranging from 11 to 14 meters.
Available to all enthusiasts and interested parties at the Neptune Marina will be as many as two models, the Excess brand’s flagship catamarans namely the Excess 11 and 14.
What boats you can try at Neptune Marina
The Excess 11 (11.42 x 6.59 m) is the smallest boat in the Excess range and one of the smallest cruising catamarans on the market. Despite its small size, the Nauta Design studio managed to carve out spaces inside this catamaran worthy of much larger boats, just think that in the owner’s quarters we find a 2×2-meter bed. Designed to introduce potential new owners to the world of catamarans, the Excess 11 is designed to be easy to maneuver while cruising: stability and safety are the watchwords. It is available in two versions, with three or four cabins, always with two bathrooms.
Excess 14
The Excess 14 (13.97 x 7.87 m) is a catamaran with sleek lines, a raised center deck to improve wave passage and asymmetrical hulls that reduce drag; the bows have inverted, sloping momentum. On the deck, we find a particularly stooped deckhouse and a low boom. The mast casing is shifted towards the bow allowing for a very large salon, and also bright thanks to the windows, while on the bulwarks we find portholes with an asymmetrical and modern cut. There are three possible layouts for the interior, including one with four cabins and four bathrooms with separate shower stalls.
