An all-Italian novelty ta about to hit the market, we are talking about the new Eryd 40 designed by Emanuele Rossi of Eryd Yacht Design, a company specializing in the design and engineering of sailboats, which has launched its own line of sailboats in recent years.
Since the first Eryd 32 in fact, the brand has chosen a definite path, that of semi-custom designs dedicated to the style of sporty day sailer. Eryd 40, evolution of the species
There is no doubt that the new Eryd 40, with its unconventional design, will be a boat that will not go unnoticed. In fact, there are many details that characterize it from an aesthetic point of view, starting with the distinctive curved deck line, continuing with the almost double-edged shapes of the broadside. Although the boat has a streamlined line, enhanced by the flush deck, it actually has a generous maximum beam of 4 meters. The boat will be available in various configurations and customizable, with single or double wheel, or for the more technical even with tiller steering.
The boat’s designer and owner of ERYD himself, Emanuele rossi, tells us what features the new 40, which was also designed for racing, has:

The hull was carefully designed using the most sophisticated vpp and CFD (computational fluid dynamics) methods to achieve the most balanced and high-performance behavior possible in both windward/leeward and costal racing conditions. The race version with tiller steering and double backstays is complemented by the performance cruiser version with center wheel steering or double wheel steering.
The interior provides a spacious dinette and sleeps 6. Galley to port and bathroom to starboard. Construction , very carefully , provides unidirectional and biaxial glass fabrics in corecell sandwich and epoxy resin. Mast ,boom and bowsprit are made of carbon.
