Have you ever dreamed of sailing on a giant sailing catamaran? Echo Yachts, the Australian superyacht builder, has just announced the construction of a 57-meter-long, two-masted sailing catamaran. A veritable colossus. Once launched it will be the largest sailing catamaran in the world, surpassing the record set by Hemisphere (44.2 meters) built by Pendennis Shipyards in 2011.
The super catamaran according to Echo Yachts
Behind the pencil of this super catamaran is the genius of Dykstra Naval Architects, the Dutch superyacht “guru,” which will be responsible for the yacht’s exterior styling, deck layout and naval architecture . The firm has previously worked on projects such as S/Y Black Pearl and the S/Y Hetairos. The structural design was entrusted to Australian firm One2Three Naval Architects.
The yacht was commissioned by a private client whose name currently remains a secret. More details about the construction and the expected launch date will be announced in the coming months.
