The new eLite outboard motor unveiled by ePropulsion represents a significant innovation in the marine propulsion landscape. With its 500 W of power, it is positioned as the entry level of a full range of motors ranging from 1 to 40 kW for outdoor models and up to 100 kW for indoor models. Its distinguishing feature is its light weight, at only 7.9 kilograms, making it an ideal choice for a wide range of tenders, from the smallest to medium-sized.
ePropulsion: The perfect outboard for the tender
The modern and sleek design of the eLite hides great practicality of use. The engine stands out for its compactness and ease of maneuvering. Its light weight makes it extremely handy and easy to install, suitable for various types of boats, including rigid dinghies, inflatables, and small fishing boats. Thanks to the brushless electric motor, navigation becomes smooth and quiet, with vibration and noise reduced to a minimum.
Another highlight is the quick release mechanism, which allows the motor to be connected and disconnected with a simple click. In addition, the ability to tilt the engine up to 140° allows the engine to be lifted completely for easier mooring operations or transport to dry land.
Despite its compact size, the ePropulsion eLite offers amazing performance thanks to its 378 Wh lithium-ion battery. With a maximum power of 750 W, the motor can reach a cruising speed of 4 knots for about 45 minutes. By reducing the speed slightly, the range can be doubled to about 1.5 hours. This combination of power and range ensures great freedom of use without the risk of draining the battery. Most importantly, it is an engine that does not pollute, is sustainable, and also allows sailing within some marine protected areas.
Easy to refill and maintain
Recharging the battery, which is completed in about 4 hours, can be done through a variety of sources, including 220V AC, 12V DC, and photovoltaic solar panels. In addition, the engine is equipped with a USB-C output that allows electronic devices such as smartphones and tablets to be charged directly on board.
Theintuitive user interface and simple controls make the eLite suitable for both experienced sailors and beginners. Maintenance is extremely easy due to the lack of complex moving parts, providing lower costs in the long run and greater peace of mind for users. In addition, with the eLite, you can say goodbye to on-board fuel canisters, helping to reduce environmental impact and providing a cleaner, more sustainable sailing experience.
