Who said you have to have a sailboat of your own to race? To participate in a sailing competition, the boat can also be rented! The idea-as simple as it is functional-came to Simone and Raul Gabriele, two young and passionate sailors from Abruzzo who bought an Italia Yachts 9.98 and decided to launch Gasira Yachting. We explain how it works.
Gasira Yachting. The characteristics of chartering for regattas
Just as in “classic” chartering, the chartering of a racing boat offered by Gasira Yachting is also an extremely customizable service according to the client’s needs and requests. It starts with a “Basic” package that includes the rental of the boat for the desired days, the rating certificate and all the certifications required by the regatta, all the necessary safety equipment according to the category, sails and Kasko insurance. The shipowner only needs to think about registering for the regatta in which he wants to participate. Gasira Yachting’s base is in Abruzzo, along the Trabocchi coast between Pescara and San Salvo Marina, but for those who wish to participate in regattas and events in the Mediterranean there is the possibility of having the boat transferred. By adding Transfer to the package, in fact, the boat will be transported by land or sea to wherever the owner wishes throughout the Mediterranean, obviously in time to participate in the regatta.
As mentioned, the service is truly tailor-made, allowing you to choose to charter the boat to enter a single regatta (long, offshore, inshore), to participate in a circuit, season or championship, even for training days or weeks. For those who would like to do a regatta but do not have a crew, Gasira Yachting also offers the opportunity to search for a skipper and the necessary crew members to form the team. Of course, the price of the package changes according to the different needs of the client, and according to the additional services that are to be had along with the boat rental.
What are the boats that can be rented for racing
Gasira Yachting’s flagship boat is an Italia Yachts 9.98, a boat that has won so much and always ranks among the very top in national and international regattas. The Abruzzo-based company is Official Charter of the Italian shipyard, and the partnership agreement will evolve over the years, such as with the entry of new models.
In addition to this “thoroughbred,” Gasira Yachting’s fleet consists of two of the most fun boats to race with: a

(the most popular monotype in the world) and a

. The company is looking for boat owners who would like to put their boat to income by offering the possibility of renting it to other clients to participate in regattas.
