New sailboats: what’s coming to market between 12 and 15 meters

After the first installment dedicated to boats between 9 and 11 meters, our column dedicated to the market is back, with more news coming, this time in the “mid size” area, up to 15 meters. Boats that will already be comfortable almost or like a home and equipped with every comfort to live aboard for long periods.

New sailboats from 12 to 15 m

The second installment of the novelty column is on the 12-meter to 15-meter range, which in some cases can be considered the “mid size” in the world of cruising sailboats.

Stratos 43

This year the Poles at Viko Yachts are preparing to make a quantum leap with the new Stratos 43, a low-cost cruising boat but with an Italian heart. Born from a collaboration with Studio Cossutti-Ganz Yacht Design, this will be the first boat over 10 meters from the Polish shipyard, which is thus set to compete with the most important European brands and beyond. Looking at the first renderings of Stratos 43 we can see a modern look of the hull, with an inverted bow, integrated delphiniera, and a double edge, one of which is positioned at the top, near the foresail. Solaris 40 ST

The new Solaris 40 ST

The world of automobiles teaches us that sometimes it is not necessary to launch new models in quick succession, but the winning strategy can be to update successful ones with new improvements, as Solaris has decided to do with its 40 now presented in the ST version, which stands for Square Top, and refers to the new square-top mainsail. The 40 ST offers a cockpit free of clutter.

12, 40 m –
Together 40
/ Together Yachts

The first hull will be ready in the spring. It will be a real rebirth, the project, which was born 10 years ago, returns to ply the seas with a new name. Together Yachts is the new German brand, with an Italian name, that has acquired the designs of the Sunbeam 40.1. The yard’s idea is to update and renew a hull that has already proven to be very successful, offering a breath of fresh air on the market. DISCOVER MORE.

SL 46
/ Saffier

The Dutch shipyard Saffier, which specializes in daysailers and weekenders, surprised a little bit of everyone by presenting a 15-meter performance cruiser at the Düsseldorf Boat Show: Saffier SL 46. A boat that combines the performance and elegance, to which Saffier has accustomed us on smaller models, in a new, larger format. This new flagship belongs to the Saffier Luxury range, which complements the Worldclass Daysailers (SC and SE). DISCOVER MORE.

15,14 m –
/ Elan Yachts

The new Elan GT6 Explorer

Elan GT6, where GT stands for Gran Turismo, is a workhorse of the Slovenian shipyard, and it brings with it a bit of automotive design: it’s that of Porsche (Studio F.A. Porsche), which together with designer Rob Humphreys created this unique boat. A few years after its launch Elan decided to launch the GT6 Explorer, a blue water evolution of the original design, with an additional forestay and increased energy range.
